Luxembourg: Accommodation required:

Hi, I've just recently arrived here in Lux and start a job in sept. As i'm just a junior i'm looking to share an apartment with others in the max €700 utilites included price range. I've tried appartager.com but for the size of the city I find the choice limited. Is there any other website/newspaper that you recommend I try? I feel i'm missing something... Thanks

Luxembourg: Relocating To Luxembourg:

Hi all, I've recently received a job offer with a financial services company based in munsbach, Luxembourg. I've looked at some rents in the actual city but they seem to be too big for my level of pay, i'll be a junior auditor. I think i'll lease a car from the company. I just wanted to know where ye would recommend I look for an apartment? What about living somewhere like Trier in Germany, are the rents much cheaper? or little villages like wormeldange? is it really worth living in the centre if, as I've read, that its kinda quiet due to many workers commuting for work from outside Lux? I'm really excited about moving and looking forward to learning a new language! Look forward to your replies

Luxembourg: Move to Luxembourg-good or wrong decision?:

I'm gonna be making 36000 euro before taxes and i'm absolutely over the moon about moving to Luxembourg!! The max you can get with one of the 'big 4' accounting firms in Ireland would be 22k and I would say Dublin is easily as expensive, actually no, more expensive than Lux city when you factor in the high VAT rate. So everybody asking about a comfortable lifestyle? Its all relative to how you normally live, I take it that things of luxury will be expensive i.e restaurants, designer footwear, designer clothes but basics will be cheap...more importantly, I was in Luxembourg in feb 2010 and a pint cost around 4 euro, not to mention how cheap drink was in the supermarket. Pint in Dublin will be around 5 or 6 so happy days...
