Colombia: Teaching in Medellin:

Spent 2 years on the Caribbean side of Mexico (Grew up in Connecticut) from Cancun to Maj haul (Fell in love with Tulum) sold some Real Estate and never felt safer (Had some crazy nights as well and the locals were beautiful) Recently spent 10days in Medellin after being told for 2 years I was a fool for wanting to go, Greatest decision I ever made. Gorgeous place, Fantastic people and I traveled all over and other then 1 or 2 late night incidents I never felt uncomfortable. There are customs like any place that must be followed. If you are looking for trouble it will be easy to find here but thats ANYWHERE !!!! I highyly suggest you go, Enjoy... Great weather, shopping, food the people are amazing, gorgeous views and the woman are the most beautiful I have ever seen............ Good Luck !!!

I would def suggest renting a car, I would also suggest spending time in Playa Del Carmen and Tulum as well. There is Way more to see and enjoy then Cancun... Have fun and enjoy you are in one of the most beautiful places on earth !!! Any questions dont hesitate to ask, I lived in Puerto Aventuras for a few years and miss it everyday

Go talk to Shawn Oneal at Investmentproperties.com he has been in Playa for years from Cali and sells more Real Estate than anyone down there. They have a complete Team. Not sure if you know this but the Notary is extremely important in your transaction. Can someone suggest the best driving route. I am looking forward to doing this like a Bucket list thing, I just want to this safely. I have a 2003 Ford Expedition and just want to get there as safe as possible.... Any and all suggestion will be appreciated !! Mike.
