Panama: Pilot License Exchange:
If anyone finds out, please post the info here. I would like to know as well. Better than doing it the hard way: going ahead and flying as a resident of Panama and waiting for someone to step out of the shadows with a charge and penalty against you.
Panama: Why aren't more Gringos from the States and Canada moving south?:
All things considered, I'm frankly surprised there aren't way more Gringos moving to Panama and Central America in general. I've been watching for new land development communities to come up in response to Gringos moving in.
By the way - if you are aware of a new waterfront project involving a larger marina, please tell me. I'm looking for a larger marina to manage.

Panama: USA Going To Hell In A Handbasket:
I certainly was not offended. You know it's getting harder and harder to get through life these days without offending someone. My being tall offends some short people. My being light complected offends some dark complected people. Heck, my being an American really irritates a lot of people around the world.
Panama: Time to get serious about leaving the USA?:
I think all of you here will be interested in what this guy recommends...

Panama: Recreational aviation ?:
That's a great question. I'm also a licensed private pilot. I've been wondering likewise, and in particular, what about my pilot's license - "single engine airplane" - in Panama. I assume Panama would require me to obtain a Panamian pilot's license?
Panama: Wal Mart:
Ahhhh... the Greater Good. Which serves the greater good, keeping Walmart out, so as to protect the small businesses. Or to allow Walmart in, so as to provide a larger selection at lower prices, to benefit the customers?
Global Expat Forum: Our Thoughts and Prayers are with Newtown, Connecticut:
Because gun control laws, like any laws, only affect those who pay attention to them, adding new gun control laws will only serve to further disarm the orderly and law-abiding. They may make the politicians look and feel good, but they will have zero effect on those who disregard laws.
But laws will be made, fewer guns will be left in the hands of responsible citizens, and violent crime will increase.
Panama: I'm retirement age - 65 - but looking for a marina management job:
Even though I'm technically old enough to retire, I'm looking for a job in Panama, operating and managing a larger marina. This is what I've been doing the past several years in the States.
Anyway - do any of you have any suggestions how or where I might find or contact major land developers who are doing new waterfront projects, that would include a large new marina?
I realize that professional land developers like having amenities like marinas and golf courses in their projects, but they have no interest in operating them, themselves.

Panama: Buying and Selling Physical Gold and Silver in Panama:
I agree regarding David over at Gold Bullion Panama (web http://www.goldbullionpanama.com/ )
I think he's very aggressive in setting up his website and blogs. I don't know much else about them. I'm impressed with their friendliness. I got good vibes. Will let you know as I buy silver and trade silver for gold with them.
