Kuwait: Company to assist in getting a Family Visit Visa for Kuwait?:

Because this is a family visa, only the family member sponsoring the dependents can apply for the residency visas. The process isn't all that difficult. It just takes some time.

Kuwait: Seaking clarity of residence process:

Yes, you will need the original, authenticated police clearance check and the medical testing results, also authenticated by the Kuwait embassy in your home country. In addition to that, you'll still need to take a second medical test here, AND have your fingerprints taken for the required checks.

Kuwait: Police Certificate, disqualifying offences:

The only problem you will have with the PCC (Police Clearance Check) is if you have any criminal convictions (theft, robbery, or worse), or if you have any DUI/DWI convictions. There won't be any problem if all you have is a criminal mischief charge from 27 years ago.

Kuwait: Married Us contractor married a kuwaiti Phillipino woman:

You just got screwed. No. It's not legal. Even if your husband is a Muslim, he is breaking US law, and his marriage will not be recognized by the US Embassy unless he produces divorce documents showing the dissolution of your marriage. My suggestion is that you contact his company, and the US Embassy in Kuwait, and immediately inform them of what he has done. I'm sure he's saying that, if she is pregnant, the HE didn't do it. It's a common ploy for some Filipino women here, in order to get a green card, to intentionally get pregnant. And, if he married her, it's because he's guilty about it. The Kuwaitis would not deport her because she's pregnant... they would, however, deport her after the child was born out of wedlock. My question to him would be 'Why is it so important to you for her NOT to get deported from Kuwait that you would lie to your wife, and marry another woman?' I think you have to face the facts: he's cheating on you, probably got someone pregnant, and likely had to convert to Islam in order to get married, because he doesn't have a divorce from you, that's the only way he could get married without having to provide proof that he was unmarried (which the US Embassy will NOT provide).

Kuwait: Questions:

First, congratulations on the potential new position. In response to your questions: 1. Most all business is conducted in English, and most businessmen in Kuwait are very Westernized. I wouldn't worry about any indigenous business customs. Just be polite and honest. 2. The important thing is to live somewhere close, or as close as practical, to where you will be working. If, for instance, you're working for the Oil Company, whose HQ is in Ahmadi, then you would want to live in or close to Ahmadi. If you're going to be working downtown, then I would suggest that you live as close to downtown as practical. Traffic can be a real problem, especially in the mornings and early evenings. 3. I'm American, and have lived here for 23 years now. The lifestyle is fine. It's safe here, very safe. And having had two children graduate from school here, I can tell you that they received a good education. Bear in mind that schools here are very expensive. Make sure those costs are part of your compensation package.

Wow... will respond after putting my thoughts together.
