Bangladesh: Moving to Dhaka:

Hello there, I am also moving to Dhaka soon for work and I have heard that the night-life is somewhat limited, even for Westerners. The advice I have continuously heard (and I will have to see if it remains true) is that you can generally find fun things to do at Embassy's and clubs (particularly the American and Norwegian Clubs), where drinking is allowed (though is expensive) and there are Westerners and so forth. That's certainly one type of fun, but as for more indigenous, local ways to enjoy Dhaka, I really don't know. I'm excited to find out, though!

Bangladesh: Intern Living in Dhaka:

Hello all, I'm a student from Canada going to be living in Dhaka starting in June. I'm really excited to see the country and surrounding region while I live here for the next seven months. I'm reading as much as I can on the culture and the people so that I'm not too shocked when I get in, but I know that I'll still be looking to meet people who are undergoing the same experiences I am while I am there. I'm particularly interested to learn what places Europeans and Americans hang out in (I have been told to check out the American Club) and what sorts of things people in this community like to do for fun.
