Guatemala: Heading to Atitlán area...?:

To Whom It may Concern: I am traveling to Guatemala this coming up August; I'd like to know, if there is someone who's in need of some help; i.e. (finding the right transportation, places to stay, translation, etc.) during and after arrival, and would like to meet someone who can help? ; I am a mature Guatemalan lady, with good knowledge of the country; language, currency, customs etc. I am staying a couple of days at my brother's place, before heading to Lake Atitlán area. I'll finally be able to have the opportunity to spend few days in a place where I'd some day like be able to retire...who knows; que será, será! If you'd be that someone who might "fill the bill", preferences: mature, whether man or woman, professional, wholesome, and please, no rainbow worshipers. Please, feel free to contact me with any questions. Gracias, Sincerely, The happy traveler! :)

Guatemala: Moving to Guatemala:

To the family moving to Guatemala. First of all, I don't know how many members is your family composed of, and where about in Guatemala your new job is relocating you. I could give you a better idea in terms of what you can get with the salary you're mentioning, all I know is that $2500 it should be a nice one there, but again, for how many people? Best, Chapinamerican

Guatemala: Thinking of retirement, but not in the city...perhaps Panajachel area?:

Hello, I am a Guatemalan born lady, but I have lived in the States longer than I can remember...I am getting close to my retirement age, and thinking about retire back in Guate, but I am not so crazy about settling in the city. So, I'd love to do some "browsing" on the town of Panajachel? Or somewhere around there. Now, I am not planning to live there as a "reina" being that my funds will be very limited therefore, I'd have to do a lot of "browsing" in terms of housing. First of all, I am not thinking on owning a casita, i'd prefer, starting on finding an affordable, nice, and safe small apartment to rent. Is anyone on the same situation as I am, that would be so kind to give some ideas on what to do in this case? Any local contacts someone might know that I can contact them myself? Thank you, very much! ?
