France: moving pets FROM France:

Its a long shot, i know, but does anyone have any knowledge re moving pets from France having bought them from the UK, on to a third country? We, together with our cat have been here for over a year (cat in the PETS scheme with rabies jab up to date) but now there is a chance we may need to move to Cyprus. I'd love any advice on what paperwork i need from the French (export cert?) end as I onl;y speak very basic French and I found we only got the UK export procedure correct after checking and double checking. Thanks

Cyprus: flying cats:

Hi we may be relocating to cyprus soon for work, the problem is we will have only about 4 weeks notice of exact date. We are pretty 'portable' but i have concerns about our cat..has anyone brought pets via air and how did it go? How is quarantine conducted (i hope it is correct that this can be homebased!). What documents do i need to request from Cyprus (any?) .To complicate things we have lived in France for over a year and bought the cat from our UK home under PETS - so its tricky finding out what i need from place of departure also = any advice on i porting pets gratefully received! THANKS

France: learning a trade:

After having trouble finding a plasterer to do some work in our french house - we eventually found someone who came and taught ud to do the work ourselves. He mentioned that there are college courses in building trades where a small 'wage' is paid covering living expenses. wondered if anyone had any experience of attending a course in France. New Zealand: visas and cats!:

we have a possible opportunity of a 2 year work contract in NZ. Have checked out the visa requiremenys for the job holder and all seems okay, but wondered if anyone had any info on visas for accompanying partners - the info i have seen on the net suggests the partner can only get a nine month tourist visa - can this be correct as i am sure many contractors are accompanied by their partners. Also, does anyone know of an airline flying to NZ from Europe that allows small pets (a cat) in the cabin - have heard of people transporting pets from US in this way by booking them a seat - really dont want cat in cargo hold, she has all the legal requirements - however any advice on quaranteen would also help - have heard between 30 days and 180!
