I totally agree with Jim. In fact I rent from him. However, Panama is not much different than North Carolina or Port St. Lucie Fl. (Just not as frequent) which is why we live here. Come, have fun, be smart as you should be any where you travel.

Just my $.02. I've spent many years in the Caribbean, Central and South America, only one year here in Chirique Providence, however, it 's becoming hard to count the number of people I've met that live/lived within 30 miles of where I lived in Florida and North Carolina. That doesn't even compare to the Canadians I've met and Hable Ya is over run with Gringos. Must be some reason they put that new sign up at the APort. :)

Loss Olas,Boca Chica & las Lajas are 1,1.5 & 2 hours away from Boquete. It depends on how far you want to be from the beach.
