Jamaica: Future Returning Resident looking for Small Biz income Stream:
Hello All,
Our target return date is early to mid 2015, so we're quite busy getting ready for retirement. We're looking to develop income streams with small businesses (export U.S. products to JA small bus). We're selling our store here in the states by that date, but would like to be a supplier/wholesaler to small shops or independent vendors..items such as personal products, clothing, jewelry, shoes, etc. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks.
Jamaica: street selling in maypen:
I'm from May Pen. It's a rough place. I'm sure you'll have competition as the place is over-crowded, both in the market & on the outside. It's a mad house. If you decide to go through it, make sure you have the proper vendor papers, or the police can take your stuff. May Pen was a nice place years ago, but the crime rate has increased over the years. However, I've heard from relatives that the police is trying to clean it up.
Jamaica: Exchange, St. Ann-River Oaks:
Hello Everyone,
Can anyone comment on a subdivision name River Oaks in Exchange, St. Ann? It's right outside of the town of Ocho Rios. We just got back to the states & viewed a beautiful home in there. It appears nice, but wanted to get feedback.
Thanksl.
Jamaica: Safest places to live:
Hello,
I'm a Jamaican & US Citizen. I've lived in the US for 40 years, but visit Jamaica every year for vacation; mostly in Mo-Bay, Ochi + Negril in the resort areas. I'm looking on purchasing a vacation home, which may eventually become my primary home. I do know about the challenges faced by the country and the crime. I know that crime can happen anywhere, but I need to get a few advice on which parish/community is the safest to live. I'm originally from Clarendon, but I've been discouraged by family & friend from going back there.
