Guatemala: Purchasing Firearms in Guatemala:

As long as you have Residency and over 25 y/o you can purchase a firearm. There are no restrictions for private gun ownership. Each year you will need to bring your firearms to DECAM to re-register. Good Luck

Guatemala: FedEx ok?:

Well I prefer DHL over FedEX because DHL handles all their shipping in-country where as FedEx contracts out to a 3rd party shipping Co. which in the past I had 2 big issues with them.

Presiptions meds are not a problem, you can buy most drugs w/o a script. I take a bag full of meds per month. Unless you are taking some speciality drug most meds are pennies on the $$

Guatemala: employing local workers:

No it doesn't matter on how many employees you have but what type of business is it? What I have always done was to have ALL my employees under contract (1 yr.) this can be drawn up by an accountant. With full time employees they get many EXTRAS per year so someone who is working for you for a year really gets paid for 14 months plus their time accumulates year to year. They sell Guatemalan Labor Laws (booklet) at Most Bookstores.
