Australia: automotive restoration industry:

My husband and I currently live in houston tx. We both work in the automotive industry. He works as an auto tech at a car dealership and I work as a painter at a seperate dealership. At home we do custom and restoration work. We have done work on many cars ranging from classic mustang restoration to custom lifts on 4x4 trucks. We are a young couple with a baby on the way and we are ready to get out of houston and start our lives somewhere where we can follow our dream of opening up a custom and restoration shop. I have been doing research on australia, government healthcare etc.. but I am curious how the automotive industry is there. Here in houston there is a shop almost every quarter mile. Lots of competition. Its hard to keep a shop afloat. Is there an area in Australia where an auto shop may be a good idea? And are there a lot of gearheads and hot rod inthusiests like there are here?
