You have to register on the MOI site to check but it is a good idea to register any way so you can check on traffic tickets Before applying for a visa also if yiur wife is with you, you have to get her visa. not too hard to do go to the Saudi MOI and follow directions you will have to go to a bank or kiosk machine for the final part

I have been here for 19 years in Dhahran ,Riyadh and now Taif the biggest safety concern is driving here.

Like watching the weasels said "it was decades ago" I have been here for seventeen years with two wives and both enjoyed the experience (first wife passed after we left here the first time} I have been in Dhahran, Riyadh, and now Taif. The driving is the thing you have to be worried the most about.

Not currently living in Ethiopia but had a house built there and go on vacation there and will soon be there permenently.

Saudi Arabia: education:

Can't tell you about the school but you have chosen the best place as far as weather goes. Taif is the vacation area in the summer for the rest of KSA. I was in Dhahran and Riyadh and choose to come here because of the weather. The people are more conserveative the other places and shopping is severly lacking but Jedda is three hours drive away and lots of good shopping there.
