Belize: Sanctuary Belize:
I and as far as I know, EVERYONE that posts ANY interest In relocating to Belize gets that SAME message from that SAME peron, it's a cut/paste job and for what ever reason, they send it to almost everyone that posts interest in Belize.....IF they hate it THAT bad, WHY are they there? I am also making plans to visit in 2014...can't wait......
Belize: Exchange Rate:
Check with your bank.....SOMETIMES they charge $30 WIRE transfer fee.....mine does for sure!
Belize: Country living:
I am SERIOUSLY considering a relocation perhaps to BELIZE next year. I am an older woman, single, raising 3 young children alone. I love living in the country and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions about country living in Belize. What areas are best, most reasonably priced, and how safe for a 60yr old lady raising 3 elementary school aged children. I saw some pretty property about 10 miles from San Ignacio on the internet, and several other places that look "promising". ADVICE, please! I currently run a 15 acre hobby farm, no rural life culture shock expected as I also spent 5yrs in the side of a mountain in KY.....yrs and yrs ago, but we are not spoiled city folks.....just tired of the direction the USA is headed.....we do have livestock, garden and like a quiet, simple and peaceful life. SUGGESTIONS and advice will be GREATLY appreciated. THANKS in advance.
Belize: self employment permit and ...:
I had a thread going on under COUNTRY GIRL and the troll wrote me "privately" with the same info....I had done my homework and knew BELIZE is not even on the top 20 most dangerous countries, much less the top 5.....his description to me was copied/pasted off the one he posted already on line to others. His description to be honest, sounds like he's describing either Miami FL or Los Angeles CA!!!! haha! Can't wait to get to Belize to check out the friendly people, lovely scenery and get a quieter, slower life!
Belize: humidity:
Central Texas to California is DRY.......GULF coast inwards at least 100 miles is HUMID, HUMID, HUMID.....LOTS of rain, HUMID! I've lived in Florida, Louisiana, Missisippi, Alabama, and now SE Texas and we have 85+% humidity ANY given day.....so Belize would be worse...also been to Puerto Rico, again LOTS of humidity.
Belize: Tricare overseas:
Tricare is for active duty and retired military AND their dependents and also for federal civil service/civilian personel and their families I think.
Belize: Single lady moving to Belize:
The company that WILL be handling the unit SHOULD be able and willing to give advice on HOW it SHOULD be packed...check with the shipping lines for prices AND advice.
Belize: School for "special" children availability:
I have a set of 9yr old b/g twins. The little boy has a lot of emotional and behavioral issues. Is there any acomodation in Belize schools or is homeschooling allowed? What are the schools like around San Ignacio and is that a good place to raise children out in the country as this child would need that type of setting being very impulisve and excitable in city setting living conditions. THANKS for any information on this as I am thinking on visiting and perhaps relocating next summer.
Belize: school aged children:
I am thinking on relocating to Belize within 12 months or less. I have a set of 9yr old twins and a 7yr old. Are there immunization exemptions available for school children. I am concerned as there are a number of vaccines grown on the bodies of aborted babies and I am disgusted by the thought of injecting my children with vaccines made that way. Anybody know any thing about vaccine requirements for school children and/or exemptions to some of the innoculations?
