Global Expat Forum: REFUSED VISA- NOW WHAT?:

sorry to hear about your refusal, but i can understand as well. you should reapply but make sure you have all the documentation that you need before doing so. you can look up the visa office or the consulate here in the US before doing so to make sure of everything that you need. many of the websites online do not have up-to-date information like many think they do. would do better contacting the office directly to get the information on what you need and than applying again. hope that helps some.

Ecuador: Funny as hell!!!!:

Reading some of the "new" threads and even many of the past threads from people who are "trying" to answer a question and it turns into a elementry school "girl" fight most of the time. I am highly enjoying being part of this and just sitting back and watching many of the children play at recess. LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Ecuador: vacationing questions:

one main thing that everyone is not mentioning, do not show, wear, etc anything expensive....like hanging your camera around your neck, expensive jewlery, etc. although it is safe, there are always things people are looking to get easy. do not really carry much money in your wallet or purse, put in your front pocket as well. just be carefull no matter where you are, not just in Ecuador, but in any country you go, that includes the USA.

Ecuador: TV Report on Ex-Pat missing since Sunday.:

hopefully they find him soon and in good health, heart and prayers go to his family and friends

Ecuador: Being Gay in Ecuador:

just read your post. i plan on relocating there myself in about a year, i am also gay. i have heard some good things and some not so good things about Ecuador in general and how gays are responded to. one thing that keeps coming up is...do NOT show you are gay in public, kissing, holding hands, etc. also, if you go out at night, be carefull of where you go and be watchfull of who is around and what is around you at all times. its like being in any big city anywhere in the world. do not invite people back to your place, as i have heard they use the "date rape" drug on you and steal your things. but that is just what i have heard and read on this website. do a search on here for "gay" under ecuador and read what comes up. just be carefull and good luck to you. hopefully we will meet when i get down there, going to Quito too.

Ecuador: Ex-patriation vs. Ex-PATRIOT -- confusion on purpose?:

not rich here, not patriotic here either..but looking to leave the country because there is NOTHING in this country to be patriotic or happy about at all. still waiting for somoene to take and show me what is so good about being an "american". from all i see, read, hear about, there is nothing at all. government is now able to tell people they HAVE to have health insurance or they will be taxed, "fined". so this "land of the free" bull crap is just that, bull crap. this is no longer the "land of the free" or the "government for the people". its more like "government for the government". as soon as i can leave, i will be "renouncing" my citizenship as well, want no ties to a place that is starting to turn communistic in a way.

Global Expat Forum: Looking to relocate and don't know where? I might be able to help:

Lekitanin, who do you think i work for, is patrick and nora. and since you are still being a complete jerk and posting on my posts attempting to say and do whatever, i think its time i report you to the website and let them take care of you. DO NOT post on my posts again, SINCE you can't say anything nice to or about anyone. ESPECIALLY since you are also here and wanting to leave the US and can't yourself. so mind your OWN business and let others take care of theirs. have a ncie life.

Ecuador: Pet Friendly Hotels in Quito:

www.quitohotelbonanza.com is a great place, i should know i will be working with and for Patrick and Nora, they are great people and know much about the city to help you get where you need to go.

Global Expat Forum: Seeking to Relocate from ...:

hi, I have recently started working for a company in Quito, Ecuador. I currently live in the US myself and want to get out and will be hopefully within the next year. The company I work for helps with Visas, a place to live (rent or buy), and all other paper work that would be needed. If you are interested, I can put you in contact with them so they can fill you in on all of the details as I am still learning them myself. let me know and i will send you the email address to contact them directly. They are well known on this website as well.

Global Expat Forum: Banking overseas:

if you know someone or have family already in the country, it might be possible but their name might have to be on the account as well. can always call consulates, etc to ask questions as well or some of the banks in the country ahead of time.
