Scotland: Wanting to work in real estate:

I am a 22 year old American who just graduated from college here in the States. I spent time in Scotland during a semester abroad and fell in love. I would love to work in real estate in Edinburgh and cannot find anywhere what the requirements would be. Do I need my US license first to then get a Scottish license? I am not planning in moving for a year or two but would like to get the information as well as possibly a connection or two in the field in Scotland. Thank you.
