Nicaragua: Dentists:
Hello
By complete do you mean all teeth for $1000.?
Honduras: packing up for the jump.:
Leaving in a few short weeks. Cant wait to be done packing and on a plane. Going back to the countryside of Honduras while I explore for a year or so. Before making a purchase. My Honduran friends combing the town to find me the perfect little house. Love these people.
Honduras: Loving Honduras!:
Having been here 3 weeks now and two left in my trip. Its going by so fast. Garden I'm building is almost ready to plant. The stroller delivered to the handicap boy and dinner with his family. My cousins being missionary's has given me time to sit with people. Laughing at my horrid Spanish. I don't mind the curiosity the people have over this strange looking gringa with the short hair and tattoos. Two ladies even had to touch them and proclaimed "bonita". Ladies are signing up for a self defense class i'm giving. And most of all they have been kind, patient and more hugs than I have had in years!
Honduras: credit card # theft:
My cuz living in Honduras used his debit card at San Pedro Sula Airport not a common practice for them. But a number theft device of some kind had been installed. They along with a lot of others had a lot of money stolen. Hopefully they took swift action and resolved it. At least its being investigated. Just an fyi...
Honduras: booked!:
Yes Jane I have heard that can be an issue as well. Yes Tim I fly into San Pedro Sula then go to Azucualpa which is part of or near Santa Barbara. After that not sure they my cuzs have mapped out showing me around. And was able to add a week so hopefully my 5 weeks there will be enough.
Honduras: driving v shipping or leave it all behind?:
Exploring options. Living in california currently. We all have personal items, momentos and photos ok I'm the family saver of them so lots. as well as hearing the quality of things are not all that good. Also my dog has to come with me. Hope to hear your stories.
Honduras: 1rst trip to Honduras poss. move:
Hello,
I am heading to Honduras in about 3 weeks. I will be scouting for a possible move. I am fortunate that I do have family there American missionaries. Altho I am not a missionary it will be fun to participate with children and teach a class or two. I would like to make contact with others that are doing or have done this leap.....Leigh
Honduras: Expats in San Pedro Sula for moving advice:
My cousin has lived there about 6 years. Apparently its the quality of items being poor. Still on the fence re: shipping
Honduras: Retiring to la ceiba beach:
I too am single, retired and considering this move although not sure where yet! I am fortunate to have a support
system there. I plan to visit soon for a few weeks as suggested on forums then possibly rent for a while till I get a feel as to where to settle. Best wishes on your journey!
