Ribeirão Preto is a very nice and wealthy city. You won't regret... Many jobs in your area too. And the security rates are far acceptable... Its not so big as Sidney or any Brazilian Big City but its is a city evolved from agricultural economy. Very nice urbanism and public transport system... You made it well. Of course you can find a job in that area. Although its some kind of saturated in Brazil at all. If you don't speak portuguese it could be difficult but not impossible to find a job. I suggest you to learn some portuguese first.

No no no no no. I work in the IBGE and i can ASSURE you that Curitiba has NOT the highest Standard of Life in Brazil. Actually, far from it the city is viewing a great increase in it's violence rates. Its already one of the top ten cities in Brazil by Homicide rates and top Five by robbery. There are many cities above Curitiba in what concerns to Standard of Life. Such as Campinas, Ribeirão Preto, São José dos Campos, São Caetano do Sul, Águas de São Pedro, Florianópolis, São Paulo, Petrópolis, Macaé, Joinville, Blumenau and so on. Please don't SAY anything you cannot PROVE using data. You're only deceiving yourself and the immigrants.

The best climate is in Northern Brazil. Salvador, Recife and Fortaleza... Speacially Natal, in Rio Grande do Norte State. The best quality of life in Southern Brazil, Florianopolis is what i recommed.

Actually there is no such thing like "Brazilian cars are different"... They're different according to what you can PAY. If you can pay less than 30k reais (15k dollars), so you won't have a nice car. If you can pay more than that, almost every car above that value have all items that Europeans and Americans cars have.
