Hey,, Your posts has so many what ifs,,, I think the best maybe is to rent for at least six months in both areas and then decide. Everyone is different and you bring up several very important issues before you tie up your money. Enjoy the country,, before you put your roots in too deep.

Hello Hailey,, I may have missed thru this long story book thread. One question,, Do you plan on living the rest of your life in Colombia or actually working /making a living with this degree. Because I do not think the question or response came up,,, that most of the schools/degrees here will not be accepted in many other countries. You are young and life is enjoyable, but what happens when you turn 30 or 40. Have you limited your future?

Becareful of VC,, had a few friends arrive at airport and found their flight cancelled, with varied excuses. Then in a panic to find another airline,, of course VC was no help and did not try to assist.

Colombia: Colombia is cheap?:

The ones hurting are the average Colombians,, prices are increasing slowly. The imports show the biggest increase, but it does not effect the average worker. Just go to the markets,, 300-500 pesos here and there ,, but after a few months ,,, the family that just gets by,,, knows it... The government here can sell only so much to pump money into the system. We should have been at 4000, a long time ago but they have been doing this since June or July.
