Kuwait: Banking problem:

Unclear why your daughter can't open up a bank account. Does she have permission to be working here? If so, it may take a few weeks but...she can try going to one of the money exchange places. Before I had my proper ID, they accepted my passport instead. It's not usual but they seem to make exceptions for certain nationalities (in my case, American). If one of the money exchange places will do it for her (and they have branches EVERYWHERE) she won't have any problem sending to the US.

Sweden: Unsure - move to sweden?:

I'll jump in... If I were you, I would consider two things: 1) Can you continue to work / do your business from here in Sweden? 2) Where are you moving in Sweden? Though I don't have children, I fall into the category of having given up much. My now-husband (we got married once I came here) was certainly worth it but...Sweden is, unfortunately, not....not if you want to be a fully functional person within society (including but not limited to working). I gave up a successful career/life in a 3rd country (where we met). Part of this might be timing (the economy is not good now but there is news that it should be improving somewhat the end of this year) but part of it is Gbg. You may do well though since this area has the highest number of one-person companies in all of Sweden (in large part because they can't get hired by anyone else). If you already have your own business (and can do it from here), you may well do fine. I doubt there's any other country that so well and truly subsidizes procreation.....in terms of benefits. It seems like the perfect country to raise children...well, save for weather....perhaps we'll hit 20 C sometime before August.....but I digress. Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will work out. Every country has its good points...though some are harder to recognize :-) Good luck!

Saudi Arabia: Single Woman Moving to KSA?:

Have a question about the medical report if someone can answer it -- I was quoted a price of $1892 to do the medical report (3 sets of test results/3 original copies of the form). This seems absolutely excessive to me. I live in Sweden now but they say I have to return to the US to do this. Sweden seems more "relaxed" than the US saying just to focus on the things that are common here in Sweden. The Saudi Embassy in the US said ALL tests must be done...even for things not common there. What all did you pay? What it all that complicated? The agency I contacted in Chicago doesn't seem interested in answering these specific questions. I won't start the process though until I know I won't have to pay such an excessive fee. Thanks!

Sweden: Earn from Home:

I would be interested in learning more. ad_email1@yahoo.com I'll be in Gothenburg from the end of Sept.
