About ADO

I opted for early retirement at the age of 56 and hung up my white jacket as a hospital pharmacist. My husband and I decided to travel with no itinerary and no set plan. We sold everything in the US and took off in September, 2012, starting in Mexico. Currently, we're in Nicaragua with plans to travel to Panama, Columbia and Ecuador in 2014.

Advice for New Expats

As a traveler or new expat, now is the time to reinvent yourself and become whomever you wish to be: adventurer, enthusiast, foodie, explorer, writer, photographer, whatever. Leaving your old life, habits and expectations behind lets you figure out new directions to explore and find out what really makes you happy.
