Spain: Advair and Eliquis:

we are thinking of a 5 month snow bird trip to Spain - November 2017 to March 2018. If advair and eliquis are not available we will have to cut the trip to 3 months. Does anyone know if these two meds are available in Spain? We used to snow bird in Ecuador but could only stay three months since the drugs are not available there. Husband can only fill a three month prescription at a time. Any info greatly appreciated thanks from: NJ couple tired of cold!.

Ecuador: A Trump USA:

Didn't like the trumps back in the 70's when I lived in NYC. They would not rent/sell/lease to Blacks and Hispanics. When I moved to Atlantic City in the 80's, Trump stiffed 243 regional companies, many of them went under after being in business for 50 or more years. Nothing to admire about a deadbeat bringing down small local companies that helped the local economy. He built the Taj on junk bonds and we all know that was catastrophic to AC. Somehow I fail to see anything to admire about a sexist, racist, shyster.

Ecuador: U.S, Taxes:

US TAXES...I will never have to worry about it since I think it is only for wages over $200,000 here's an excerpt from Circular E IRS: Additional Medicare Tax withholding. In addition to withholding Medicare tax at 1.45%, you must withhold a 0.9% Additional Medicare Tax from wages you pay to an employee in excess of $200,000 in a calendar year. You are required to begin withholding Additional Medicare Tax in the pay period in which you pay wages in excess of $200,000 to an employee and continue to withhold it each pay period until the end of the calendar year. Additional Medicare Tax is only imposed on the employee. There is no employer share of Additional Medicare Tax. All wages that are subject to Medicare tax are subject to Additional Medicare Tax withholding if paid in excess of the $200,000 withholding threshold.

Ecuador Welcome Forum: Hey there (: Possible future Loja residing expat:

regrding the American who barely speaks Spanish, teaching English...when I was in the Peace Corps in 1972-73 in Bogata, none of the Spanish teachers spoke English. If the Colombians learned ENglish they were no longer eligible to teach Spanish. There was a method to that madness, we had to learn Spanish. :)
