India: Can an expat bartend in Goa?:

Hi all, I'm moving to India in November and will be starting out in Mumbai and then quickly heading to Goa and further along the coast. I know Goa can be expensive and crazy in the holiday season, so I was wondering if anyone knew if expats can pick up work at bars in Goa in exchange for places to stay? In other parts of SE Asia I know this is very common and not a big deal (with visa, etc.). I'm just not sure what it's like in India. Any help here?! Thanks1
