Jordan: Visa extension:

Hello, I just moved to Jordan due to a job offer. I am planning to stay 9 months. The problem is, that I MUST go to Europe (for 3 days) in November and I obtained a single entry visa at the airport. Is there any possibility to prolong the visa, go and come back to Jordan? Or could I leave before the 1 month period ends and get a new visa at the airport on return? In short - is there any possibility to reenter the country within a short period of time? Any advice would be helpful. Hope to hear from anyone. Thanks in advance, Dijana
