Mexico: Need Advice on move to Mexico:
You have to have Mexican auto insurance to get your car into Mexico. You can get it at the border crossing point. You also have to have the paperwork on your car. It is my understanding that you have to make a deposit to bring your car in. You make this at the border crossing point also. You cannot change your car plates while the car is in Mexico. Many Americans drive here for years with US-plated cars. I hope this helps.
Germany: Help with Horse:
Hi, Fran,
What breed of horse do you have? If you can find the website for the breed association and obtain a list of breeders in that area, I'm sure they will know where there are horse boarding facilities and some may accept boarders themselves. if you have a Fjord horse, the name of the association in Germany is the Interesgemeinschaft Fjordpferde (IGF). The AMHA has a list of international Morgan clubs on their website.
That area is beautiful. My late husband came from Essingen, s small town about 8 km from Aalen. The people there do speak a difficult dialect (Schwaebisch) that even North Germans have difficulty understasnding.
Good luck with finding a stable and let me know if i can provide more information.

Germany: Planning on moving out of US:
You will need a rabies titer on your animals to bring them into Germany or another EU country,
Apartments in the Berlin area are expensive. My friend is paying ¬500 a month for an efficiency/studio apartment 33 qm with utilities in Zehlendorf. It is for senior citizens.
Good luck with your move.
Poland: Book stores:
Are there any book stores with books in English in Poznan?
Mexico: Retirees in Monterrey or Saltillo:
Are there any retirees in these cities? Activities? Availability of books in English? Other information would be helpful. Thank you.
Germany: Filing Petition for Alien Relative:
Does he already have a "green card?" When I inquired about getting one for my German husband when we lived in Mexico, I was told that we have to be living there since it is a resident visa and we were not US residents. If you want one to make it easier for him to travel to the US, perhaps you could get him a 10 year visa. As you probably know, with the program they have now for German citizens it is not necessary to get a visa in advance for those with a German passport just to go there on a trip. Good luck.
Poland: America to Poland:
The EU requires that the cat have a rabies vaccination, a rabies titer and a microchip, also a health certificate, to enter the EU. You have to check to see if there is a quarantine period after the rabies titer to enter the EU from the .
Germany: Cats in Feriehwohnung/hotel:
Has anyone had experience with cats in a Ferienwohnung or hotel? I stayed in a Ferienwohnung and was charged ¬4 a day extra for the cats. The cats damaged the wall-covering in about 3 places. Now the man wants to charge me for the repairs to the Ferienwohnung. I thought this was what the ¬4 was supposed to cover. Also 18 hours labor to replace wall-covering in 3 places seems high to me and why did he buy paint? It appears to me that he wants me to renovate the whole Ferienwohnung (which was very tiny and barely large enough for 1 person and 4 cats). Thank you.
Germany: Please help..:
Since you are a citizen of an EU country, you will have different requirements than those of us who have citizenship in countries outside the EU. You need to get on the German Foreign Ministry website which will give you all of the information about living and working in Germany as an EU citizen. You can find the site in English on your search engine.
Germany: Cost of housing and utilities in eastern Germany:
