Panama: Getting around:

I've read alot of interesting articles and postings about Panama; and want to spend some time there this winter, to see for myself. I could use some advice on getting around....if I fly into Panama City and want to visit Boquet, David, Bocas, etc... should I just rent a car and drive from place to place? Take a bus? Fly? What are good hotels (not too expensive but clean, quiet and well located)? Thanks Jeff

Mexico: Moving to Mexico?:

Hola Cetra; I have heard differing information on the length of stay in Mexico..that Mexico requires you to leave after 6 months and that the US only permits you to be out of the country for 183 days in a year but that these rules arent enforced. Whats the truth? Would the length of stay impact my taxes? Thanks Jeff

Mexico: Reasons for Moving:

Hi; I live in NYC and have been really happy and comfortable during my many trips to resort areas of Mexico. I'm considering a visit to your area to see if I'd like to move there. I'd really appreciate your views on a couple of key subjects.... cost of living (ie: what does it really cost to rent a nice, clean, livable, safe 2 bedroom house or apartment) and also on safety (we read so many horror stories in the American press). Also, how would you compare your area to that other hotspot, San Migel Allende? Thanks in advance; Jeff
