Jamaica: Scotiabank Account:

You must have all identification, a bank statement from your currant bamck a letter from your bank manager stating you are a member in good standing with the bank. You tax records (we had to have 3 years worth). A reference letter from a member of the community (ie an acountant, pastor, attorney or government official).. we spent 3 to 4 hours getting ours done. We opened a bisiness account there.

Jamaica: Immigration requirements:

we can answer this one we are buying a company in Jamaica right now. if you are buying a house there and not working you do not have to have a work permit ( because you are not working ) but you can only stay in Jamaica for 181 days at a time but you can get a lawyer there and get a 3 year visa and not have to leave for 3 years ( and if you do get a job a work permit is not that hard but you do have to have the company you are going to work for fill out sponser papers for you and you work permit is onley good for that company if you chang jobs you have to do it all over again )

Jamaica: Need good school in Falmouth area:

My family and I are relocating to Falmouth. We are in need of a good school in that area with excellent education. We would prefer our child to live with us and not be at a boarding school. Any advice?

Jamaica: Rehab/Homeless shelter:

This. Is an awesome idea and if you are still wanting to do this have you done your research on the ratio of homeless in that area. I have many contacts in the area you are looking and if you like can see if there are any buildings that would meet your needs. Also would like to talk more with you on this matter if you would be so kind as to email me details and it maybe something I could help you with in the not so distant future. doodlebugsmom77@gmail.com or cbm.ventures@yahoo.com Thanks, Becki

Jamaica: U.S. Rootz Educator moving to LilyPut:

We will also be relocating to that area soon. We will actually be in Falmouth. Have been there twice and absolutely love it. We have several friends in that area and if you would like some advice from the locals can hook you up with some awesome people who would be great friends in the long run. PM me if you want the info or just be friends as we will be practically neighbors.

Jamaica: private schools in jamaica:

Hello, we are also moving to Jamaica, specifically the Falmouth area, which is in the Trelawny parish. I have a 10yo daughter and will be needing a school for her next year (2013-2014) she will be in 6th grade. Does anyone know of a good school public or private with excellent education standards so she will be well prepared for anything she chooses to do in the future. Any information is appreciated although we would prefer her to live at home with us.
