Bolivia: Tarija- What is it like to live there?:

I have hear this is a nice place to live but before I plan a visit to make that determination myself I have some questions. Can you drink the water? Cost of living? Crime there? I also heard that they drill for natural gas there but does anyone know how it is extracted from the earth and whether it is safe to both mother earth and human beings as in the States it is not done safely. Any info on this beautiful town would be helpful.

Italy: New to group with questions:

I have always wanted to live in Italy especially Florence. I am a retired single female and have questions about cost to rent an apartment per month and live there in general?. How long is an American Passport is good for in Italy? What about citizenship? Have been to Italy before but don't know the language will that be a problem in Florence? Thanks,
