Austria: German Language Courses:

Try "Volkshochschule", they are all over Europe and teach German for beginners who have to pass a german test in order to get a residence permit in Austria. Goes for 2 semester per year, 4 month each, one day a week for 150Euro/semester.My husband is a beginner and is doing well and does his home work each week.

Austria: AMERICAN TEMPORARILY MOVING TO INNSBRUCK - HELP!:

Tom, each country protects itself, so the only way to stay in Austria at the moment is on a 3 months visitor's visa. The only way to stay here officially is to either find an austrian company which employs you in Austria or to get married to an austrian national or to get a student's visum. But the officials are looking out for people who get married to get into the country just like the US does. If they are satisfied, you have an immediate right to live and work in Austria, have your girl friend look at www. help.gv.at, hope that helps a bit.Cheers!

Austria: Moving back to Austria -Need your advise:

Guten Morgen! I am an Austrian citizen married to a US American. We lived all over the world for the last 28 years and moved back to Austria last year. I can give you all kinds of leads, tried to PM you but it always bounced back. Let me know if you can use my help, cheers!
