I'm looking to sublet my room in a lovely 3 bedroom apartment in Sakanat Maadi until the end of August. Ideally looking for a young professional female roommate. The apartment is on a quiet tree-lined street, a couple minutes walk from Sakanat Maadi metro station, just off of Road 9 where you can find many lovely shops, restaurants, and supermarkets. The apartment is spacious with modern furniture and gets lots of natural light. It has a big ‘western’ kitchen with a huge oven. AC in every bedroom and in the living room. Egypt: debating moving to Egypt for 8 months:

Hello! I'm in my mid twenties from Canada and have been offered an internship with a very good organization near Cairo (in Maadi). I'm struggling with making the decision. It's in a field I would love to try, but 8 months is a long time to be away and not able to go home. I've travelled a lot, but am a bit concerned about both the recent political events, as well as hearing that women are often harassed/general safety. I'm wondering if anyone can speak to their experience in Maadi/Cairo both positive and challenging? Thank you!
