Advice for New Expats

When I moved to Haiti in January 2011 I had prepared myself for the worse. In fact it could not had been more suprised, in adversity the Haitian were making the most of situation so devasting and with aid organisation who were in reality unpreapared. Take each dfay as it comes, get to know as many Hatians as possible they are loving and caring friends. Not to say they are all good, just exercise discretion at all times never never be flambouyant with money its insulting.

I would love to live in...

Haiti

Dominican Republic: Relocating-Work-Haitian Girlfriend:

Here we go, I am English and have been living in Haiti for the last 5 years. we want to move to Santo Domingo, we know Haitians are not appreciated, however Miralda is an English teacher and is completely fluent and has some Spanish. Is it generally difficult to o live in the DR, we both want to work, although I have no Spanish at all at the moment. We can rent or buy with a budget of $100,000.00 cash. We need a 2 bed secure apartment or small house. are there many restrictions on foreigners in the DR what would we need to be legal in the DR. Help much appreciated. Brigg
