Ukraine: Ukraine Language:

Hi 67-- The language thing is no problem here. This is Ukraine with a language that is older than Russia itself! More than a quarter of a century have passed since Ukraine escaped the clutches of a greedy Socialistic empire! For many years now, the school systems have been teaching first language Ukraine. Soon, all older ex soviets will have passed away, and ALL will speak their native language. Why should any country speak another countrys language-- ? Ukraine is distancing itself from the ANGRY BEAR! As a matter of fact, most, if not all schools today in Ukraine are teaching ENGLISH as their second language. Here in Kherson, I have spoken with many young persons in the markets with their use of English. I see NO reason for Ukrainians to be speaking in a foreign tongue. So much snow all around-- cant wait to go to USA for a spell, and crank up the old Chrysler 300 again. March 19th ima goin! Get to go eat some enchilladas, bar b Que, Red Lobster, etc. Glad to see some movement in this forum! take care ya'll!

Ukraine: Amazing !:

Hello forum: I want to wish that down under guy a fruitful time here in Gods country! Yes, Odessa is a fine place for women, however the same types can be found in most areas of Ukraine. Found mine in Kherson -- city of about 400,000 people-- One year younger than the USA! Just across the bridge, is Tsyrupinsk--- A port city that is thousands of years old-- was once a hub in world wide shipping! The economy in Kherson is about 25 percent cheaper to live than in Odessa. Im here now-- going to USA in March-- through Odessa airport- back in June. The streets are snow bound, and iced -- just returned from a small store close by , using the car-- very slick. Hope to get to meet many patriots this summer when we return-- maybe KK will be gracious enough to have another get together. Sorry to see the hryvna keep slipping-- Dollar is strong here. Gonna have my 75th birthday party with family this year--26th March. Have a grand daughter getting hitched on the 25th. Lets light up this forum some-- ok guys? Blessings to all! take care.

Ukraine: My niece:

Hi guys-- Hope all are doing well today. I have a niece-- Svetlana, who I would like to help find a suitable husband for. She is 25 years old, never married-- usual boyfriends, but not married, no children. Nice looking lady. Hopefully someone not too much older. She is a down to earth person-- well-- just wanted to post this. Take care-- Bill

Ukraine: Euronews-Ukraine Visa free travel:

Hi guys-- Wow- I must be the lucky one then! In the last five years, I have shipped at least 50 extra -large boxes of all kinds of items-- clothes- bed sheets, drapes, foods, tools, tvs-- tables, with not ONE problem. I have used MEEST shipping for all shipping-- good price-- delivered to my door. I will be going back in the summer, and will send more boxes as well. Really miss my pancake syrups, peanut butter, salad dressings, -- i also ship Mc Cormicks enchillada mixes, taco seasonings. Sorry to hear about some of ya'lls losses. I have been working on this house some more, added on a foyer-- Lots of insulation in my attic, A new fence across the back yard, and some other things as well. We need more activity on here-- getting lonely for some comaderie. take care guys.

Ukraine: Dating agencies/websites work. Or not?:

Russophile-- Correct . At least about 98 percent! The year 2000, I started my trips to Ukraine. I am a fast learner, and I saw immediately what you said to be true. Big Industry for sure. Have you seen the blacklist on the web about Russian/Ukrainian Dating agency scams? Huge-- These people KNOW how to drain a bleeding heart! I too, lost some-- rebounded though. My lady was put on a "kiss.com web dating line-- I saw her soon as posted-- she got 245 calls. I was about number four. I was 60, she 47. I came to Ukraine in about three weeks time, met her, and the rest is history. We were a match. We now live in Kherson, Ukraine-- about 50 miles from Mykolaiv. Dont get burned-- these ladies on line want help for their sister who got ran over , in hospital, PLEASE HELP-- Ya LLYUBL YU! I want you come to me soon! Muah, Muah! A million reasons to get your cash. Very resourceful-- then you find out the photo you have fell in love with is a movie star from Romania or something! Best come and see for yourself--- May be Vladimir, three hundred pound man with a beard. There are some GREAT women here-- most over 30 years old. Good luck guys-- Come get the love of your life here-- She is waiting!

Ukraine: Buying A House:

Hello oo7, Kherson Bill here. Say, Have you visited here in Ukraine (Mykolaiv)? If not, it may be hard to compare most any home to those in USA. Not complaining-- So many of the homes here were built LONG ago-- Many are in shambles. Some can not be resurrected! The population in Mykolaiv is around 400,000. There are two parts there-- the OLD, and the NEWer . I say one must come and lay your eyes on what is here, and available. The prices are as wide as the Texas sky!! You say 2000- 4000 sq. ft. That is a very large home in Ukraine-- very few can afford that. The economy is in shambles, so one CAN purchase much more than say three years ago , before the bottom dropped out of the Hryvna. I bought my home in 2013-- Hryvna was 14.10 then-- I gave roughly 107,000. for it -- a six bedroom home built in 1992. 2400 sq ft. Needed LOTS of TLC. Most any home you buy, will need some type of updating to make it comfortable for an American. Like hot water-- Some homes still have outhouses. Come meet your lovely lady--LOOK at what is available, and make some decisions. Probably not in your case, BUT I've heard tell of some gullible Foreigners paying big money and believing it is my love-- to find out it is Igor, with a big mustache on the computer taking your love money! :-) NO- didnt happen to me. I made my first trip to Ukraine in 2000. Sevastopol. -- bad decision. Back in 2002 for the wife I now have. This home is in Kherson, about 50 miles from Mykolaiv. Love it here. 007-- before you buy anything here, read the laws -- NOT like in the USA! Hope your dream comes true--Take care----Bill Hall

Ukraine: cell phone service:

Hey guys-- I know we have been over this topic before-- maybe year and a half ago--- BUT-All my family members are saying get this-no this one etc. Gonna buy a moderately priced phone-- and need some service-- forum has been dead a few days-- thought I'd make some noise here. I need a service to call USA, and all over Europe as well--I dont text, dont do internet on phone-- sumpn' simple will do. I took mail service from Earth Class mail-- hope that works out ok. Went on a 6 hour trip , close to Moldova (Kotovsk ) nearly tore the car up on these cow trails. Oh well---hope all are doin well Poka

Ukraine: u.s. policy:

Thank you Smmoravec-- You took the words out of my mouth! This guy has nothing to do--- Is controlled by a Russian loving wife. Only watches russian channels, is completely brain(if has one ) washed. He is waiting on the United States to fund him his Social Security so he can move -- He constantly bashes the states with each breath! I REALLY wished he and his lived in russia-- where one dollar will buy about 85 rubles. Ukraine is the forum here- not the problems elsewhere. If you look on the Russian forum, you will see where he has been as well! Mike is STUCK in a hell hole (chicago), with a rabid wife, and daughter. I really hope he could just pack up some clothes, and RUN like hell as fast as he can from this woman. There will be no happiness in his life with this domineering woman. My prediction is he will NEVER move from his residence-- NEVER. So many people ALL over the WORLD would love to be in USA-- I moved for my wifes sake, not mine! To all a good day, Bill

Ukraine: Good to be home:

What a story to tell--- My wife and I left San Antonio, Texas airport evening of the 24 th. Flew to Chicago airport-- then flew to Warsaw-- heres where we had problems. We are sitting in the designated gate of departure, with many others-- and the gate was changed-- we missed our last flight 1 1/2 hours to Odessa. Next four days all flights were booked solid because of summer. Lost the ticket, because it was non-refundable. Wife was an emotional mess! After all the crying stopped-- we purchased a flight to Kiev, BUT it left the next day! There was hotel across the way (Marriott) They wanted 400. American Dollars for a one night stay--- My Polina was not having it! At 74 years old--- we slept (if one can call it sleeping) on the metal benches at the airport!! UGHHH ! Every bone hurts! :-) We get to Kiev--- Train is booked-- we hurried to the bus station-- There was a 1960's looking bus leaving to Kherson in 20 minutes!! We took it--- The highway from Kiev-- to Mikolaiev was un imaginable to ANY American!!! From Mykolaiv to Kherson the roads are ok. 9 1/2 hours on a dilapidated bus was a TRIP TO HELL ! I'M HOME! So good to be back. I am absolutely looking forward to meet as many American Ex Patriots as possible. I'm from San Antonio, Texas-- 30 years in Houston--Will be great to talk to someone that can be understood fully. Ya'll take care-- Stay optimistic, and BE HAPPY! Kherson Bill

Ukraine: International Shiping of Car:

Hi guys-- I think one should read this bill in the Duma first. It stipulates that a one time auto transferral by a UKRAINIAN "citizen"--Also there is a time limit on this. I understand this is a "bill"-- Not yet passed. However it would be nice to go to USA - bring, or buy a four wheel drive, with massive ground clearance for Ukraines roads! I hope this bill passes. I think I would use it with my Son's name. I am merely a Ukrainian Permanent resident. take care -- Kherson Bill
