Brazil: suggestions for landing in Brazilu:

hi, we are planning to visit Brazil and hopefully find enough reason to settle down there, since I am fascinated about the many amazing places there. My problem is that I want some advice on where to land in Brazil. We are a family with small kids. We are looking for a crime free, safe, and not very expensive town where we can spend three months or so just enjoying ourselves. We dont mind it not being a beach town as long as its safe, has good medical amenities and is not very expensive. We just want to mingle around with the people and from that base see what oppertunities we can find in Brazil for long term. Suggestions, please?

Brazil: need an invitation letter:

Hi, I am planning to visit Brazil in Feb 2013, to enjoy the Carnival as well as check out Brazil for investment and business oppertunities. However, the problem is that it is difficult to get a visa for Brazil unless you have an invitation letter from a business or friends. Since, I have none I feel my chances of visiting Brazil are minimum. I will be travelling with my family. If someone here feels they can help me get an invitation that can work for the counsulate, that would be just great. I have all the other requirements under control. Any kind of advice or comment that is related is welcome. Thanks guys!
