Nicaragua: Accomodation duriing Dec/Jan??:

We were planning to stopover Nica on our way to England sometime during Dec and Jan 2013. Whilst searching hotels we cannot find anywhere available!!! Does anyone know why? Being Aussie, we don't know (and didn't think) this was the busy season? We would like to visit ASAP prior to our move in three years....

Nicaragua: Comparing Nicaragua to USA:

Hi TDaily! I'm in Australia planning the move to Nica so I do not know the basics for comparing the US vs Nica. I do know they the AUD $1 is worth $1.08 USD and still my husband and I are moving our little family across. To have the same standard of living we have here for $6300 per month we can have in Nica for $2200 per month. Don't get me wrong, we are not moving only out of greed and a cheaper cost of living. We want to move to get our kids away from commercialism and back to reality. It is hard too explain. :D We are booking in to visit relatives in England for Christmas 2013, so hopefully we can stop over on the way. :)

Nicaragua: Moving to Nicaragua from Australia with children:

We must be mad!! Crazy!! Insane!! However, my husband and I have firmly decided to shift our little family to Nicaragua from Perth, Australia. We will be dragging our two reluctant ragamuffins with us...boys aged 10 and 6. Can anyone say culture shock to come? Anyway, I would love to hear opinions and advice from people in the know about living in Nica with children. Or really, anyone in Nica!! Our main concern is schooling for our boys, but I have heard that there are some good private schools there? Any advice would be fab!!!!
