Australia: HealthCare Work:
My husband and I want to move from the US. We are both involved in the healthcare industry, he's a Registered Nurse with experience in the pharmaceutical industry as well, and I'm a Family Nurse Practitioner. How difficult would this transition be for us? Is Australia a difficult place to move to? What's the job market like for healthcare providers, and as foreigners can we even get jobs?
Panama: Healthcare jobs:
Hi all! My husband and I are looking into moving abroad and are considering Panama. He is an RN and I will be a Family Nurse Practitioner. What is the job market like for RNs? Does Panama recognize Nurse Practitioners? Can anyone recommend where I can find more information on this? Thanks for your time!
Panama: Nurses in Panama:
My husband and I are looking to move abroad from the US in a few years. He is an RN and I will be a Family Nurse Practitioner. Does Panama recognize and use NPs? What is the job market like for the healthcare industry, and what kind of wages can be expected? We are looking for a warm, tropical destination with a slower, safe, and affordable lifestyle in which to raise our future children.
Belize: Sorry- Nurses in BELIZE!:
That was supposed to read Nurses in Belize, but my computer auto-filled what it wanted instead of what I wanted.
Belize: Nurses in Malaysia:
What is the demand like for nurses and Nurse Practitioners, and how hard is it for a foreigner to get a job in the healthcare field?
United Kingdom: Nursing Jobs:
What is the job market like for nurses and Family Nurse Practitioners in the UK? My husband and I are considering moving abroad from the US and are in the gathering info stage. Most places I've researched have a fair need for nurses at this time, but most don't have adequate nursing schools in the country either. What's the case with the UK? And advice would be wonderful!
Malaysia: Nurses in Malaysia:
Hi all! My husband and I are looking into moving abroad from the US. He's a Registered Nurse and I'm a Registered Nurse in school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. What kind of job opportunities are available for people like us? Any further information would be great!
Fiji: Is Fiji for us?:
My husband and I are looking to move abroad from the US. We are looking for somewhere safe to raise children, a slower and more relaxed lifestyle, and somewhere with amazing outdoor life/beaches. He is a Registered Nurse and I am also, but will be a Family Nurse Practitioner after I graduate. We also have to make sure that wherever we choose, we can find jobs and support our family. Is Fiji an option for us? I don't know much about the island, other than I hear it's gorgeous. Any input would be great!
Bahamas: Requirements for Moving:
Hey All! As I posted in my previous message, I'm going to be a Family Nurse Practitioner and my husband is an RN and we want to move to the Bahamas. I've contacted the Nursing Council and the hospital system, just waiting to hear back from them. What are the legal requirements to be able to move and work in the Bahamas? From what I've found on the government site, we could not apply for legal residency until we'd been employed as nurses for 10 years.... But could we still move and work with work permits/visas?
Costa Rica: Nurses in Costa Rica:
My husband and I are interested in moving abroad from the US and are interested in Costa Rica. We are looking for somewhere safe to raise children, with a laid back lifestyle, less stress, and a warmer climate than where we are now. I am a Registered Nurse in graduate school to become a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner and the husband is a Registered Nurse as well. What is the job market like for these fields? I know it takes about two years to become a legal resident and then apply for a job... But are there nursing jobs to be had? Could we support a family on the salary of an RN and an NP? What areas are the best to look into? I have a friend in San Isidro, but we like the Caribbean side a little more than the Pacific. Any information and advice would be wonderful!
