Some Forum Posts:

Philippines: Rental in Zambales, Subic area:

I am looking for a rental in this area for my grandchildren. Basic local housing, nothing fancy needed, but would like 3 bedrooms. Any idea where to search and approx costs. They are staying with an uncle right now, but I plan to stay with them 6 months each year.

Mexico: Effects of policies of new administration on lives of expats living in Mexico?:

You are just trying to stir the pot...leave it be!

Mexico: Forum gone dark?:

"Well, they just have nothing to, actually, say so, they name call, curse and spew anger. Just like Trump does. He's set the example and they follow like sheep. Thank you" Screw you, Liberals are doing most of the nasty talk and taring up the country with violent demonstrations! F Off

Mexico: Have you experienced an increase in the hostility towards Americans?:

Deb, I really take offense at that pro Trump statement. I happen to be pro Trump and have actually had some decent conversations with my Mexican Co Workers. I do not walk around being mouthy nor has anyone else I know who is pro PRESIDENT Trump. I have seen hateful and heard hateful crap from some our expat liberal women. It should ALL be kept off these boards. To the original poster, I have lived here full time for 11 years and have NEVER experienced any anti Americanism.

Mexico: Employment Ideas:

Best to go into your own business. Not sure about construction, but we have several Gringo carpenter shops here.

Mexico: Cozumel questions???:

It is best to come for an extended visit. There are more properties than listed on the internet. Many just post for sale signs on their houses, same for rentals...se renta

Mexico: Residence/Permanent Visa requirements:

Just a little information for all of you. Yes you will do your initial application in the States, but when you arrive in Mexico the local immigration will ask for all of the same information and maybe even more. Then you wait for their approval before you will get a card.

Mexico: renter's insurance:

If you have any previous connection to the military you can join USAA. They are one of the few that will provide renter's insurance here. My daughter has it here in Cozumel.

Mexico: retirement requirements:

Once you are permanent that is it! owning property has nothing to do with it. Even a drop in income below what you were approved on does nothing to your Permanent. Are you sure you do not have a Temporal approved in connection with your corporation?

Mexico: Home School Program:

Try "Connections Academy" They also do the virtual schools for many of the US States. We used the one in Georgia. If you have a residence in the USA and say you live there it will be free. Otherwise you will use the international one and pay tuition. All books are supplied as are other materials.
