Some Forum Posts:

Panama: Bocas Del Toro:

I'm sure he means to say--the biggest criminal on the planet has pale skin.

Belize: Latest Corozal expat attack:

He's a despicable idiot.

Panama: Condado del Rey:

Wow! We have something in common. My mother also graduated but it was Drexel U., Magna Cum Laude in Phila., PA. and she told me that some people are basically stupid--too stupid to know they're racist. So they spew their putrid mindset for all to hear. Malodorous and I can't bear to share your air. Don't bother to reply--you are muted.

Panama: Weapons Laws:

Oh, wow, yep! Panama is off the list. Now, they will have shot up schools, movie theaters, malls, etc. Do they read Americas' news?

Dominican Republic: Family Relocating:

Or coming from the USA. In the USA, where you can shot & killed at the movies, school, university, mall, etc. People kill me, pointing out how dangerous it is in other countries. But, those countries don't have the violence and depravity as the USA

Dominican Republic: Unfair treatment to DR by some expati in this forum:

Maybe not from you, but I've read some serious bashing on this forum. ITo the point where I wonder why some are even there. I read how stupid and backwards the dominican people are. Every time I read such bashing--I think about America & 1492--the mindset is the same. Those who think, they are better than others--are just putrid. They need to go home and stay home. Live amongst those--who do it your way. Leave those people alone and understand, by no stretch of the imagination--are you better.

Panama: Panama or Costa Rica?:

Long before the U.S. attempt at building the Panama Canal began in 1904, workers from around the world had been coming to the isthmus. In the early 1850s, the Panama Railroad Company imported thousands of African and Chinese workers to lay the tracks for the railway lines that would make the construction of the Panama Canal possible. Most would die from malaria or suicide. Throughout both the building of the Panama Railroad in the 1850s and the French excavation 30 years later, workers from Jamaica were recruited heavily. In 1881, French recruiter Charles Gadpaille ran advertisements throughout Jamaica, offering wages much higher than average on the Caribbean island. The campaign showed the "Colón Man," a Jamaican who had gone to work in Panama, returning to his home country a rich and prosperous man. This ideal caught on quickly in the largely working-class country, and drove a huge migration of Jamaicans to Panama in the latter half of the 19th century. But the promise of riches was an empty one: in reality, West Indians earned $0.10 an hour and the work was treacherous. During the eight-year French excavation period, of the more than 20,000 workers who died, most were West Indians. Strikes proved fruitless, as there were always more men eager to take the jobs. Despite the heavy recruitment of laborers from the West Indies, Colombia, and Cuba, only one in five workers stayed on the job longer than a year.

Panama: La Estencia B&B:

That sounds too lovely. I am very interested in your rentals. Please send message when ready to rent. btw--garages would be nice and barbecue pit area would be nicer.

Panama: DRINKING WATER:

Thanks BG, for tip on "google". I kept getting Panama City, Fl. You seem to have the "heads-up" on Panama. I am 59, female, retired, raised & stayed in USA. I have never traveled to Panama, but it's looking pretty good from here. I get mixed messages about the beaches. Please tell me true--Are the beaches in Panama dirty? Is the country dirty? I am torn between Panama & JA.

Jamaica: looking to move to jamaica:

Very excited for you. I plan to relocate there also. Please keep us posted on your progress.
