Colombia: Can you drink the water in Colombia:
"In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria."
Colombia: Bucaramanga:
"watch the women in Santander they are brabas (angry). and they can't be trusted. they left so many men with broken hearts ."
=================================
I've met some Santander girls in my travels and I think you're on to something here. They DO seem pissed off, don't they? I dated a Bucaramanga girl in Medellin and she was PO'ed and dour all the time, too. Very good looking chicas, though. And angry and bossy. But my experiences are limited to 3 Buca chicks. Maybe they're not all that way.
And Buca has to be hotter than Medellin. I never got overly hot in Medellin. But Santander area is not conducive as much to hiking. Too hot and sweaty. And I didn't get burned in Antiochia as much. I got sunburned like crazy in Santander.
Colombia: Cafetero:
Filandia is great!!
And if you didn't eat at the Taco Shop, then you missed out.
Colombia: Border Run Duration:
I'm not a Colombian immigration officer, but what you posted is what I've always heard to be true.

He's posted with immigration help in these forums before, but I haven't noticed him around recently.
Colombia: My travels in Colombia:
Thanks for the stories. I was sitting here on an ocean platform an hour flight from shore in the middle of nowhere and pining over Salento.
Glad your vacation has been great. I knew it would be.
Oh, and yeah... I don't understand the Euro-chick fascination with grubby looking guys with knots and weird buns in their hair. But I can personally attest that some of them still like hanging out with cleancut Americans that go to Eje Cafetero to curse excessively and booze from sunup to sunup.
Colombia: Visit:
Just stay the hell out of Bogota.
Besides that, just find some nice little town and enjoy.
Here are my faves:
Guatape
Ville de Leyva
Salento
Filandia
San Gil
Manizales
Colombia: I want to rent a Apartment but cant pass Agency STUDY!!:
If some Colombian doesn't like the flavor of Gringo money, here's what I'd tell them:
"Bye Felicia!"
And then I'd go spend my money somewhere else. They're more likely to get a solid rent check every month from a gringo retiree than a Colombian, and if they're too stupid to realize this, then they can eff off.
Colombia: Running - Pollution?:
I've never noticed any foul air in Medellin. Seems fine to me.
I've been places where the air was crappy (Mexico City, Bangkok, L.A., Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula) and Medellin air is fine.
Colombia: Dentista:
I had some dental done last time I was there this year.
They're going to rob you.
