So you want to Move to India? A word of Cautionary advice. Be prepare for culture schock and have deep pockets for India is riddled with corruption in every field one can imagine. One has to bribe each and every one to get the work done...Thats just the way Indians work. From the very top MP's Lawyers, Doctors to humble office clerk..they ALL take Bribes to get you fastracked. As regards to Importing your prized and cherished Mercedes the Customs [department of Import] will levy a very heavy Import Duty on your vehicle, which is to discourage you to import anything in India, be it a car or anything else, meaning they want you to buy their own CRAP Products. This is my personal experience, but who knows you might be able to offer a bribe to a customs duty officer and he can waive Customs Duty by allowing you to import your car. Wait for a response from somebody who has been in the same predicament as yourselves. Good Luck
