Haiti: American Female seeking employment in Haiti:

There are some new construction jobs that are using local and environmental friendly materials. I don't know if there are companies doing environmental tests on the materials used and or the buildings themselves. Just a thought and something to look into.

Haiti: Single Woman moving to Haiti:

Hi, I have an offer to work with a US company in Haiti for a year or a bit longer. I speak french but being a single woman I don't know what things I should know and how the living conditions would be in Haiti (Port au Prince). Any advice on what should I bring, look for, be aware of, not to wear, not to do. Is is safe to walk/jog during the day on the weekends? Does anybody know how safe is the drive from Port au Prince to Miragoane? Would it be safe for me to drive my own car or would I be safe having a driver instead? Thanks!
