Brazil: NATIONWIDE PROTESTS:

I live in Taubate with my Brazilian wife,the protests here have been peaceful and friendly as most want them to be.Of course you will have those who vandalize and get violent and you need to avoid them.I do not think it will lead to revolution but will bring needed change in the education,health and public services that is tainted by political corruption that diverts resources from them.All growing democracies go through this type of change some violently and some peacefully,let us hope for the latter!Power to the people!

Brazil: Brazil tax on US pension:

I am retired and a disabled vet moving to Brazil,my wife is a Brazilian citizen and I have a permanent resident visa.My govt pension and veterans compensation are direct deposit in my US bank and I use an ATM withdrawal to pay expenses.Do I have to declare income in Brazil,I am paying tax on my pension in the US.
