Philippines: How do I buy a TV in the Philippines while I'm in the USA:
Hi. I am a local in the Philippines. It is possible to buy TV from Shoemart, or any other store selling good appliances because international credit cards (mastercard, Visa) are generally accepted in big stores in Manila.. But of course your sis should have the credit card with her.. Otherwise, check out online stores..
In case, maybe you will just have to expect a little more charge, not to mention delay, in shipping if you would prefer the "ordinary" way of sending. Goods are weighed per kilo, i think. Then there are i think brackets for charging valuable items (i.e. appliances) that are exported or shipped out of the country which your sis might check out with any forwarding company etc.
Switzerland: apartment rates in Geneva:
Hi. Could anybody give an estimate of how much do 2-bedroom, semi-furnished apartments cost in the following areas in Geneva (at least roughly)?
Route de Colex, Geneva
Chemin de la Begoudaz, Eysins
Route de Meyrin, 1203 Geneva
Avenue Lucerna 1203 Geneva
Rue de la Gollette, 1217 Meyrin
Rue de Lousanne, 1202 Geneva
Rue des Boutines 1217 Meyrin
Rue Cavour 1203 Geneva
Champs d'amier 1209 Geneva
I have heard stories that it is hard to look for a fair-rate apartment in these areas for its very high cost of living.
My colleague has just been detailed in Geneva to work near the UN headquarters area and will be leaving next month. She is yet to buy a car so she prefers renting an apartment strictly within any of the above-mentioned areas for easy access to her work district. I would appreciate any advise. Thanks!

Switzerland: Filipinos in Geneva?:
Hello. A friend and I might be temporarily staying in Geneva. I'd appreciate to meet any Filipino when already there. Still tentative, but we expect to be there by September this year.
With the sudden change of environment and culture, I would also appreciate hearing some tips from you guys.. salamat!
