Greece: Advice for Moving to Athens:

Hi. I'm an American who is considering moving to Athens with my Greek fiancee. I'd like to hear about the experiences of other Americans living in Athens--particularly those with no Greek background--in an effort to find out both the challenges AND the rewards. If you are someone who plans to live in Athens long-term, what is your advice to a new-comer, and what do you cherish most about Greece? Things to consider...I've visited Greece several times (for vacation), so I'm a bit familiar with the cultural differences. I am also very close with my family in the U.S. Many thanks in advance!
