United Kingdom: Healthcare:

In order to move to be with him at all you need to obtain a visa. You need that to register for NHS services as well. And yes, there are NHS dentists you could see or you can see a private dentist and pay a small fee.

United Kingdom: Need Furniture for Your Move? I Can Help!:

I am interested in the furniture (other than the bed...we just purchased one). Can you please send photos to wendynulph@gmail.com? Thank you! P.S. I'm from the US...where are you moving to? Wendy

United States: Returning to USA after 1 1/2 Yrs:

It depends on where you are moving and what in particular your concerns are. Safety? Healthcare? Weather? Cultural environment? All of the states are so different so depending on which one you are looking to move to will help us provide more informative answers.

United Kingdom: Potential move to Brighton:

What sort of questions do you have? I've been there and we thought about moving to a town nearby so I may be able to somewhat help you. I'm American and going to the UK to join my husband in October. We considered living in Worthing which is a smaller town to the west of Brighton but still on the coast. Brighton is a pretty busy and touristy city so it has a lot to do. It also has a University there so lots of young people. Hope I can help!

United Kingdom: Relocating to UK from US with Small Dog:

I am moving to the UK from Texas and bringing my small (5 lb) Yorkie with me. I'm terrified to fly with him in cargo because he is so small and fragile. Plus, I can only imagine how terrifying that will be for him to fly that way for 10+ hours. I know flights directly into the UK require pets to fly in cargo, but other countries in the EU allow you to fly pets in cabin if they are small enough. Does anyone have experience or feedback on flying from the US to France or Amsterdam (so he can fly in cabin) then taking a ferry or train into England? I will be sure he has his pet passport, microchip, rabies shot, etc. so not skipping any of that. I just need an alternate way to get him there with me other than in cargo. Thank you!!

United Kingdom: UK Spouse Visa:

I'm hoping someone can provide clear guidance for me and my husband. I'm a United States citizen, and my husband is a British citizen. We have decided I will relocate so are in the process of applying for my spouse settlement visa. Our main questions revolve around the supporting documents needed. To prove our relationship is authentic, we have our marriage license, pictures of us (including our wedding), 6 letters from family and friends, trip itineraries of seeing one another, etc. For the financial documents, we have his past 3 years end of year reports that show his steady income, employment verification letter from his job (he makes over the financial requirement per year), his resume, my resume, an employment verification letter from my job, etc. Is this enough for both? I have applied for a few jobs in the U.K. so should I include those in there to show that I plan to work immediately upon receipt of my visa? We hope to submit the visa and documents next week. Thank you for any help you can provide!
