Guatemala: Invest Wisely in Guatemala:

I am a 13 year ex Pat in Guatemala and have seen many an individual invest in the restaurant business and fail within a two year period. I have been operating small family style restaurants for the last eight years on a minimal start up budget of less than US$300 and have been successful as well as fortunate in my endeavors. Antigua , Flores and Lake Atitlan are ideal locations, Lake Atitlan being the least expensive and regulated for initial investment. I recently lost my business upon termination of rental contract to a higher bidder and am currently looking for a financial investor who would like the to take advantage of an ideal opportunity to enter into the restaurant business in Guatemala

Guatemala: Owning a Businees in Guatemala:

I have been living in Guatemala for 13 years. 8 of those years I have owned a restaurant. Opening a business is easy and inexpensive. I opened my restaurant with less than $300 in my pocket. By a stroke of bad luck I lost my restaurant after 8 years of successful operation. Now I am actually considering repatriating because finding a job is very difficult except if you teach English which will hardly cover the rent. If anyone out there knows someone interested in partnering in a restaurant business have them relpy to this post. I really like Guatemala and don't relish the idea of going home especially with all the experience I have here doing business and living amongst the people.
