Ecuador: Expats, do we need better manners?:

My 2cents. 15 years ago a different type person did this. It was a more free spirited, happyperson who did it because of the want to explore and meet others. Today they do it because they have to to survive. They cant afford to live in their own country. So they are 100% of the time depressed. It is like when we were kids. If holiday meant disney land or the coast you were happy. If it meant stay home the whole holiday you were depressed. Now before you thry and test your medication limits with a heart attack. It is not every person here ok

Ecuador: Looking For Black Americans In Ecuador:

Detroit if you go north like Esmeraldas you will find many many black people. Wonderful community who do not have a care in the world for you color we were all one. It also seems that the expats around there is more open and accepting to other colors not like the south. It seems all the racist expats congregate there. Now i did not say every expat south of Quito is a racist. And also i found more Euro expats north. That might be the difference too. They ain't so color crazy and are a lot more open that the cowboys from the states. So now i pissed off all north american expats. Let me go visit my Ecuadorian neighbor and have a few beers. I try not to mix with expats they annoy me.

Ecuador: Import of Firearms:

Its the gun mentality that is the problem. If you are so pissy and afraid of life that you want a gun, go to Nicaragua. There i saw everyone carry guns. You can go there it look a lot like Ecuador and then shoot and get shot at till your hearts content. Wtf is it with usa people and their guns. If you are so attached to the sh1t stay therewith your precious guns that do not kill. Keep telling that bullsh1t to yourself. Next time when a cop shoot a innocent person go tell the family your bs. If there were no guns the idiot cop could not use it in the 1 st place. Ohh and btw not just the idiot cops also the rest of the idiot gun owners. So there now i pissed off 80% of the usa and Canadian expats. It will also be the racist most probably as it seems it go hand in hand.

Nicaragua: Snakes and Scorpions:

The scorpions I found it help if you pour a bit of diesel around the house along the walls and steps est. it seems they do not like the smell or something and do not cross that line. Snake well if it is not poisonous they make great snacks fried in batter. Skin them fillet them. Nice batter and fry them. Nice

Bmar you are the reason i am the way i am regarding usa people. Your country is falling apart at the seams, there is more of the exact sht going on in your back yard but YOU want to come here and tell Ecuadorians crap about how they deal with things. Stay in your country sort your own sht out and keep your mighty arrogant or ignorant ass out of Ecuador. They do not need a yank to tell them what to do.

Ecuador Welcome Forum: First 40 days in Ecuador:

So what I have experienced in the 40 days so far in Ecuador. The big cities is pretty much all the same. Lots of cars, taxi's and busses. Easier to get stuff. More expensive to get to the stuff. You can live cheap or just as expensive as back home. Depend on your lifestyle. Cuenca and Quito is cold in the shade and warm in the sun. Both cities will get you in shape in a hurry. Guayaquil, Manta is hot and humid. Guayaquil is a bit dodgy in places and i duno if I were walk there even in the day. The coast from around Bahai is very nice and relaxing. Do not expect too much of shopping centre stuff though. Canoa is too relax and Montanita whooo they can party. Quito side Banos and Mindo will make great retirement places for active individuals with an interest in Nature. Otavalo is a bit touristy but nice. My choice is Atacames. I liked it a lot. Or Sau close Atacames and nice and quite. Overall I duno if Ecuador is for the pampered individuals who like things all artificial and neat and easy. Here things feel real not so dressed up and politically correct like Europe. It seems Ecuador is becoming a goto destination for the younger European tourists. i met a lot of Germans, French and a couple Dutch and Swiss people. The locals are great. They still got respect and pride. Kids have manners. You still respect the elderly. Even the stray dogs seems better mannered than other countries.
