Fiji: Moving to Fiji:

Also we found a doctor no problem and I broke my ankle and got excellent care at the private hospital in Suva

Global Expat Forum: GMO-free Cheap Country Family Friendly:

My husband and I moved to Fiji in 2013 and have never looked back. You could certainly live on that income and apply for work permits. We think its very safe, its just like anywhere else, don't be careless and you will be fine. We buy all kinds of fruits and veggies from the local small stands on the highway from small farms in the area.

Global Expat Forum: Info on living abroad:

A tourist visa is only good for 3 months in Fiji. You can always get a residency permit which is good for 3 years

Global Expat Forum: expats:

We are retired Canadians that have lived here in Fiji for about 15 months now and loving it. Bought a house with a pool that backs onto the golf course that we joined and loving the Fijian people

Fiji: Cost of living:

Some of Pacific Harbour is flat and some is quite hilly and not all are on the golf course, some on the lake and some on the river

Fiji: possible pacific harbour future:

We live in Pacific Harbour and love it. We used Richard Snowskill at Resort Homes Realty which is located at Pacific Harbour at the Arts Village, give him a call or email him at resorthomes Good luck

Fiji: Pet immigration Fiji:

I don't know where you are coming from but we moved here from Canada and we were not allowed to bring our dog with us so check and see if its possible to bring your pets. I know Australian people can bring their pets but other countries I don't know, possibly we weren't allowed to because Canada has rabies??? who knows

Fiji: Moving from us to Fiji with young kids:

We moved here from Canada and live at Pacific Harbour along the Coral Coast. Its a small community about 45 minutes from Suva but has some shopping nearby and there is a school. Don't know what your husband is planning on doing for a job, there are resorts close by and I already have said that Suva is 45 minutes. I don't think you will enjoy Suva that much with small children, you may want something smaller with some expats around for company, check out Pacific Harbour, we love it

Fiji: Aus to Fiji:

Bula, we just moved here in September from Canada and we did our immigration papers before hand and sent them in registered mail. Of course everything moves very slow in Fiji and we moved here without our immigration papers and went to the offices in person about 12 times before we finally got them!!! That's Fiji for you. We went on line to look at realtors and places we could afford to live and we have ended up at Pacific Harbour and our agent was Richard Snowskill at Resort Homes here at Pacific Harbour if that helps you at all. You can certainly email me if you have questions at jchristy56@hotmail.com
