Panama: Panama modifies temporary visas:

Thanks soo much for the heads up! Applying later this year for (Jubliado/work permit) my move next year (2018, June) so any changes their making is important. As I DO NOT want to make that run to border! Any word on the work permits? Thanks again,

LOL!!! Just as hot, but not as Dry! And the humidity is off the charts. I'm living in Las Vegas right now so I know the feeling. David is hot and humid! Know this going in. Best Wishes!

Panama: Relocation tours recommended?:

Hi margieotl, I took the tour 2 years ago come July and it was SOO WORTH it!! I'm coming back to Boquete on my own next month because of it so needless to say I plan on moving to Panama in a couple of years to retire. It's countdown time for me so I'm going meet some of the same folks I toured with and the contacts that I made in 2013 to get myself set up as much as possible before the big day of retirement. It is a 'Boots on the Ground' experience. Be open-minded, take advantage of all the contacts you'll make. Hopefully you'll be with a great group that you can stay in touch with afterwards, it helps tremendously! Good Luck and enjoy! And to some of you(s) on this page, this time maybe we'll meet face to face! LadyNascar!/jazzyo2k

Panama: The future of the dollar in Panama:

To cbredemus: I too agree, take him up on the offer! Great guy, knows what you're facing and can possible take away some stress at the front end, by giving a boots'-on-the-ground perspective. Good Luck! Enjoy!

Panama: African-Americans living in Panama:

Hi All!, To Shwshuttle; I too am AA/Female and have made more than several trips to Panama (Boquete to be exact) and I'd like to point out that if your not Panamanian(S?) then your a Gringo! Lol! but you gotta let go of certain ways of thinking, this is NOT the US. You chose where you live based on certain factors, cost, location, safety. There is a Large Expat community there from all over. I love them all, the culture the people, the expats. I felt more at home there during my visits than I do right here in Las Vegas, NV. If you do your own due diligence and shake off most of your American thoughts of what you're used to it will be really easy to 'blend' right in. Oh! I did I mention I took every single trip totally ALONE! And loved it more each visit. Visit, sit and talk to as many folks as you can. I never considered my race not one bit during my visits. Even when I ordered a burning tire by mistake for toast Lol! The waitress and staff were almost on the floor laughing, but not offended why? because I was at least trying to learn and speak Spanish. Panama is not for everyone but you have to find out for yourself. Give it whirl!

Panama: 5-Day Relocation Tour:

Hi, I'm new to the site and wanted to know if there's anyone out there who's taking the upcoming Tour for Boquete. This is taking place on July 5th thru to the 12th. This will be my first visit to Panama, the tour will provide an up close and down to earth view of what it takes to retire there. I've got at least 4 more years to go, so I've been doing my homework to make a real decision, thus participating in the Tour. It would be nice to meet some of you(s). I've so enjoyed the information found on this sight. For the most part I can decipher the Tourist version from the Real version (smile) I always want the Real version. Well, I've said quite enough so I'll bid everyone a found adieu! Thanks! Oh by the way my friends call me stick! Jazzyo2k

Panama: Anyone a member or know any facebook Panama group?:
