Ecuador: Free tour of Quito's Cascadas and Haciendas.:
Yo!
Hey, what a great idea = another free tour!
Most of the ones I've taken recently have been space-trips, you know = virtual, but with full screen and sound, I come around...
Now, however, seems to be an appropriate time to ask for a FREE ticket, from Bangkok to Quito, so's I can jump on your offer!
Please advise airline and times.
Thanks a million and "hasta luego!"
Ecuador: Ecuador trip report:
Hola!
I am keenly interested in Medellin (and/or Cali). Was there in the '70's, when Escobar paid for just about everything. Now, however, I hear that young guys routinely carry guns, and use 'em.
What's the true scoop?
regards,
Carl F.
Ecuador: Eager to move...but wary..:
The attitude I've 'adopted' in these later years is the (only) one I know of that effectively defies both Gravity and Cynicism:
It is called "Levity." (nb: I did not say 'levitation.') Oh no! Old Dan Webster defined the word long ago, when he wrote: "Levity: Lightness of attitude, friviolity, not taking anyone, any place or anything too seriously, including yourself."
Not only that, this (reality) is a passing (fancy)! It is not here to stay. Which means I gotta be real careful about ATTACHING myself to anything. Especially fancy Dans, fancy pants, fancy dames and/or fancy dances. Can you fancy (all) that, at once?
Life's A Beach!
THAT'S THE SPIRIT!
It's a Gas!

Ecuador: Move to Ecuador or Panama? Help?:
As a "seasoned" traveler over several decades, my suggestion would be to trash that haunting attitude dubbed as : "Fear of The Unknown."
Hard Truth is that the world is your oyster, if you see it that way.
"Doing what I like is...
Freedom!"
"Liking what I do is...
Happiness!"

Ecuador: Getting "Retirement" Visa BEFORE leaving USA?:
Can someone tell me the "conventional wisdom" about applying for a 'Retirement/Pensionado' Visa?
If possible, I'd like to have the permanent resident Visa in hand, before leaving the USA.
Or, do I have to come in as a tourist and file for permanent status from within Ecuador?
Thanks in advance,
Carl Frederick
