Austria: RN moving to Vienna:

Hi new to this but felt like needing some advice thus here. We're moving to Vienna next April with my husband and 4 year old daughter from the UK. I am a RN and to be honest still on the beginner level of German. Any advice please on how to move there...anything will be greatly appreciated like German courses, schools for children and possibly finding jobs

I am in the same situation though I am coming from the UK. As far as I know you have to have your papers and qualifications check first with the NARIC as your curriculum might differ from here in Europe. But I think it be ok. Then you have to have your license validated (this is my next step). Need to study German course so that you can work. I am still on the process of moving thus getting papers ready. There are loads of nursing homes and hospitals in Austria apparently we just need to learn the language. Hope this helps
