Portugal: Finding work in Portugal:
The summer is definately the best time for temporary work. I had a hard time finding anything online. Once I showed up in Lisboa, I discovered that there are lots and lots of temp work agencies. The economy is down and competition is tough and even harder when you don't speak portuguese. I had better luck just going from bar to bar in the more turisty areas. Everyone told me to come back in three months (closer to summer).
One other thing I remember, a friend of mine told me that she meet people working in hotels in the Algarve who spoke more english than portuguese. Turist central.
Portugal: Would Subway Work In Portugal:
Subways are great, but I don't want to show up in Lisboa in see a subway. If you're trying to get some business with an US style restaurant, why not more interesting. Tex-Mex, southern cuisine, or a sandwich place like Subway.
Portugal: LISBON:
1. I have a student visa that will end soon. Any info on temporary residence visas or the like.
2. Any current info on housing/apartments in and around Lisboa
3. Any info on the music scene/recording studios
